Services
We gather for worship every Sunday (except for July and August when St. Mark’s and a neighbouring church take turns hosting worship).
At our services we hear readings and teaching from the Bible, sing songs of faith, take quiet moments for prayer, and spend time socializing.
Can’t make it in-person? We stream our services live

Join Us

A circle of friendship, faith, and service at the heart of St. Mark’s.
The United Church Women (UCW) at St. Mark’s Cannifton is an active, joyful ministry where women of the congregation gather to support one another and serve our church and community. All women are warmly invited to join us in the Sanctuary on the first Tuesday of each month for fellowship, conversation, and a cup of tea.
Monthly Fellowship
Our monthly gatherings offer a gentle rhythm of friendship, faith, and shared purpose.
Whether long‑time members or newcomers, women find a place of welcome, laughter, and belonging.
Work Parties & Fundraising
Throughout the year, the UCW hosts lively work parties where we roll pastry, prepare soups, and craft pies and tarts for our Bake Sales and Frozen Food Sales.
Funds raised support UCW projects and the wider ministry of St. Mark’s.
Country Market & Community Events
In early November, our congregation comes together for the beloved Country Market,
a multi‑day event filled with hospitality, homemade goods, and community spirit.
The UCW is also frequently asked to host regional gatherings, funeral receptions, and congregational celebrations,
offering care and welcome to all who enter our doors.
Our Purpose
Whatever brings us together—baking, planning, visiting, or celebrating—our purpose remains the same:
To express our loyalty and devotion to Jesus Christ in Christian Witness, Study, Fellowship, and Service.
This commitment guides our work and shapes our community life.
A Place for You
If you are looking for connection, meaningful service, or simply a warm circle of women to share life with, the UCW is a beautiful place to begin.
